Description

Notice of Intent to Award a Single Source Contract The 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron at Hurlburt Field, FL intends to establish a single source contract with Briggs Equipment, Inc, 1301 W. I-65 Service Road North Mobile, Alabama for parts and repair services of a Hyster 20K Forklift, Serial # K007E02496N. � The authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by only one source reasonably available is in accordance with FAR 13.106(b) Soliciting from a single source.� The Air Force has a 20K Forklift that requires a Hyster personnel cab and associated components installed for mission needs. �The Forklift is manufactured by Hyster and according to the company�s website the only local repairer is Briggs Equipment, Inc in Mobile, AL.� Due to the size of the forklift, transportation is restricted to within the local area which is a 150-mile radius of Hurlburt Field, FL, 32544.� Because of this, the circumstances of this contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This is a notice of the intent to award a sole source contract. �It is published for informational purposes only and not as a request for competitive quotations. �Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. �No responses to the notice of intent to sole source are anticipated, however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. �A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. �Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� All questions/comments or any quotation/response regarding this notice shall be addressed in writing via email and received no later than 11:00 A.M.
