- Description
- The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole source VirTra, Inc., 7970 S Kyrene Rd, Tempe, AZ 85284�for the following Virtual Reality System to be used for combat medical training: ITEM DESCRIPTION VirTra 180 System The System must include: - Tether less Immersion - Multiple screens with the ability/space�to accommodate a minimum of 12 personnel�and a medical manikin during simulation. - Tether less�M-4, AR-15, or M-16 rifles fitted with� actuation devices to produce realistic firing action, with the ability to interact with the simulation screens (i.e. interact with targets, and scenarios loaded) and be unable to be loaded or fire�live ammunition while outfitted with VR components. - Provide the simulation administrator the ability to change or adjust scenarios and back grounds as needed without corporate/company assistance. Submission of Capabilities Any proposed simulator will have to be approved by Air Force Medical Operations Agency (AFMOA) more specifically the Air Force Medical Modeling and Simulation Training Division (AFMMAST). This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however companies are encouraged to provide their systems capabilities if they do meet all of the above listed requirements. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), that the circumstances of this contract action deem only a single source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the requirement in writing to jason.wilburn.2@us.af.mil no later than1100 hours CST, Wednesday, 10�September 2020. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
