- U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Anchorage, AK has a requirement for a commercial item or service. This combined synopsis/solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 (as supplemented with additional information included in this notice). This posting will be referred to under Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number 140F0720Q0035. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A written solicitation will be issued and attached to this posting for reference only. This RFQ falls under procedures in FAR Parts 12 and 13. This document incorporates provisions and clauses updated by way of the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2020-08, effective August 13, 2020. This requirement is open to all businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 334513, Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying and Controlling Industrial Process Variables and the business size standard is 750 Employees. This announcement constitutes the Government's only official notice of this procurement. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is requesting quotes to purchase a quantity of 3, CastAway Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) Measurement Instruments (OR EQUAL) with the following specifications: CTD Specifications (part number: CA-CTD) (OR EQUAL): � Instrument must be rugged and suitable for cold, salt-water conditions in Alaska � Hand-held, light weight, and easily deployable off of a small boat � Hydrodynamic in design/shape � Functionality at depths to 100m � Extended battery-life (40+ hours) � Must contain an integrated GPS system to an accuracy of 10m � Wireless data transfer (internal Bluetooth) to eliminate external connections that might be compromised in saltwater � Direct programming capabilities � Sampling rate of 5 Hz � At least two attachment points � Contained electric field within flow cell to prevent external interference � Immediate data viewing capabilities via LCD screen for field-work scenarios � Cast-profiling as well as point-sample measurement capabilities � Must provide highly accurate, high resolution CTD measurements - Thermistor response time < 200ms - Conductivity accuracy of +/- 0.25%, +/- 5 uS/cm - Temperature accuracy of +/-0.05 deg C - Pressure accuracy of +/- 0.25% FS - Salinity accuracy of +/- 0.1 (PSS-78) - Sound speed accuracy of +/- 0.15m/s Delivery date: NLT January 31, 2021 � Vendor shall include in quote when they can deliver product. If vendor is providing an OR EQUAL item, vendor must provide sufficient data to determine technical equivalency per minimum specifications listed. Vendor shall show cost of each item to include shipping, and show cumulative total.
