Description

Hexagon US Federal, Inc was awarded a contract in September 2019 for the Situational Awareness, Boundary Enforcement and Response (SABER) system for the Navy.� SABER is a critical cyber-security system providing situational awareness and boundary defense protections for Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (H,M&E) systems across multiple Navy ship classes.� The SABER system requires an Installation and Check-Out (INCO) spares kit at each of the three (3) land-based sites to support all ship installations starting in Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 that consists of the following system parts in alignment with installation strategy: SABER Rack hardware parts, Operator Interface Panel (OIP) parts, Operator Interface Computer (OIC) parts, Out of Band Network Switch (OOBNS) parts, Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) Connectors and Port blockers. INCO spares support shipboard installation and testing for the SABER hardware components.� The Navy inadvertently required only one�INCO spares kit in the previously competed procurement.� The Navy intends to increase the quantity of�INCO spares kits in support of SABER system installations on a sole source basis to Hexagon US Federal, Inc.� This notice is to provide industry with the Navy's intent.
