- Special Notice THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following services: The Portland VA Medical Center (PVAMC) requires Prospective contractors to provide the following NGC Quest 10 chromatography system and BioFrac Fraction collector Brand Name or Equal per FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal to Bio-Rad CLIN QTY Part number Description 1 1 7880013 NGC QUEST 10 SYSTEM WITH COMPUTER AND MONITOR 2 1 7410002 Guardian Hardware - Mobile SALIENT SPECIFICATIONS The protein chromatography system shall meet the following specifications: Minimum flow rate of 10mL/min using a piston-type pump Mixer module that enables creation of buffer gradients with an minimum accuracy of 0.5% Maximum operating pressure no less than 3000 psi Detector module that detects sample absorbance at 280nm plus conductivity Included fraction collector with the ability to use 1.5mL microtubes, standard 15mL conical tubes, and 96-well plates. The fraction collection should have the ability to divert unwanted eluent to waste. Suitable for use with affinity, ion-exchange, and size exclusion chromatography. Included computer, touchscreen, or other interface to enable control of the system Ability to add inline pH monitoring, automated sample loading, and multiwavelength detection at a later date through the use of add-on modules. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements written notification to the Contracting Officer. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Only authorized representatives of the manufacturer will be considered. Equipment must be new, no used or refurbished equipment accepted.
