- This synopsis is not an Invitation for Bids (IFB), Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Quotes (RFQ). This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via https://Beta.SAM.gov in the near future.� The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation once issued. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a contractor to repair the asphalt surfaces, including access roads and parking lots at two locations - Lock & Dam 8, Genoa, WI, and Lock & Dam 9, Eastman, WI. Work will include obtaining payment bonds, repairing type 1 and type 2 cracks, applying seal coat, asphalt patching, asphalt removal, cold milling, asphalt overlay, asphalt replacement, pavement markings, installing aggregate and riprap. The work will take place at: Lock & Dam 8 - 4405 Highway 35,�Genoa, WI � 54632-0265 Lock & Dam 9 - 24545 Highway 35,� Eastman, WI�� 54626-7150 The estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990, with a Small Business Size Standard of $39,500,000. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. No CD's or hard copies will be available. Offerors are responsible for checking https://beta.sam.gov for any update(s)to the Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted at the referenced website. In order for a contractor to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must be fully registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
