- Description
- This requirement is being solicited on an Unrestricted basis.� The Government plans to award a contract to rent towels, launder towels and/or replace towels soiled with POLs for a base period of twelve months which includes Optional Performance periods of two one year performance periods, to be exercised at the government's discretion. Shop towels will be used for oils, greases, lubricants, fluids and solvents.�� The contractor shall provide and label containers with the required regulations label ""Excluded Solvent-Contaminated Wipes."" Containers labeled Excluded Solvent-Contaminated Wipes should comply with the Performance Work Statement Attachment A � Management Practices for Wipes, Rags and Shop Towels and attachment B � Excluded Solvent-Contaminated Wipes Rule.� The quantities for each type of wipe, rag and shop towel have been provided in the attached Request for Quote. The Contractor shall furnish towels/rags as described below at the beginning of the contract delivered on September 1st, 2020. �Used wipes. rages and shop towels will not be accepted. To better manage solvent/non-solvent wipes the contractor shall provide yellow and blue towels/rags. The yellow towel/rags will be for solvents and the blue towels/rags for non-solvents. The quantities of yellow and blue towels/rags will be divided evenly as described in the attached Performance Work Statement. �The contractor will have 90 days after contract award�to provide blue and yellow towels/rags if unable to supply them at the beginning of the contract. The Contractor shall�picked up all rented items on�Tuesday of each week and resupply with clean/laundered replacement items, unless otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer.�� The specification of the items are required are as follows:� Large towels shall be minimum 24"" x 48"", approximate weight 8 pounds per dozen, 16 strands or better, 100% cotton.��Hand towels shall be minimum 16"" x 27"", approximate weight 3 pounds per dozen, 16 single strands or better 100% cotton.� Shop rags shall be minimum 18"" x 18"".�� Items soiled by POLs must be replaced.� Shop towels will be used for oils, greases, lubricants, fluids and solvents. Contractor shall provide and label containers with the required regulations label ""Excluded Solvent-Contaminated Wipes."" Containers labeled Excluded Solvent-Contaminated Wipes should comply with attachment A � Management Practices for Wipes, Rags and Shop Towels and attachment B � Excluded Solvent-Contaminated Wipes Rule It is the government's intent to award a firm fixed price contract for the rental/laundry services as described within the attached�Request for Quote.� The resultant contract will include all terms and conditions as specified in the Request for Quote.� Offeror's are encouraged to submit any questions that they may have regarding the�requirements specified herein and the RFQ no later than August 21, 2020 at 3:00 pm eastern standard time.�
