Description
36C24720Q0575 Re-core Locks throughout Hospital and Remote Clinics Carl Vinson VAMC, Dublin, GA. Question: A data wire and wire run with 110 power and connection will be required. Also, we will require blocking for the 64 SAM Box the will be part of the installation. These 2 items are typically handled by the VA with their own electrician/ contractor, and will not be included in our price. Answer: Yes, that would be correct and accepted for evaluation. Question: Is there a solicitation? Answer: Yes, it is a Combined Solicitation Synopsis and it was posted on August 14, 2020. Please scroll down and you will see all the postings. They should have a help desk# to assist you as well. Question: Is RFQ  36C24720Q0575  a set aside for both Service- Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB s)? Answer: No, it is just for Service- Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB); the change was that it is not a sole source for (SDVOB). This was posting on August 17, 2020. Please scroll down and you will see the postings. They should have a help desk# to assist you. Question: Will the VA provide a complete keying schedule to include door numbers, door classification (office, storage, IT, Janitorial, Mechanical, etc), lock core finishes, and keying symbols? Will  the contractor be required to walk each site, number doors using QR codes, compile the doors in a spreadsheet to customer to include door numbers, door classification (office, storage, IT, Janitorial, Mechanical, etc), lock core finishes, and keying symbols? Will there be any keying meetings and if so how many? What is the security card reader system that is currently in place for tying in the key box card reader? Will Contractor provide all components and labor required to connect SAM cabinet reader to the security access system? What version of Keystone software is currently in place? Answer: Will the VA provide a complete keying schedule to include door numbers, door classification (office, storage, IT, Janitorial, Mechanical, etc), lock core finishes, and keying symbols?  No, this will be the responsibility of the contractor. VA will provide Door Numbers, Department occupying each room, Contractor will need to build the keying system and determine who gets what keys. Will  the contractor be required to walk each site, number doors using QR codes, compile the doors in a spreadsheet to customer to include door numbers, door classification (office, storage, IT, Janitorial, Mechanical, etc), lock core finishes, and keying symbols?  Contractor will be responsible for keying system, symbols, etc.  VA will provide Door Numbers, Dept occupying each room. Will there be any keying meetings and if so how many?  Contractor can meet with COR and locksmith, as necessary. What is the security card reader system that is currently in place for tying in the key box card reader?  There is no keybox card reader included in this contract.  Only 1 SAM cabinet, is to be self-contained, does not tie into our current PIV system. Will Contractor provide all components and labor required to connect SAM cabinet reader to the security access system?  SAM Cabinet not being tied into existing security access system.  SAM cabinet card system is to be self-contained.
