- Removal and replacement of existing perimeter Security Fence on CJAGJMTC, Ravenna OH, 44444 Category: Y �Construction of Structures and Facilities Date Published: July 31 2020 Contact: Contracting Division, USPFO-OH, 2811 West Dublin-Granville RD, Joint Force Headquarters, Columbus OH, 43235, POC Bradley Wahl.� Email: Bradley.a.wahl.civ@mail.mil.�Contract officer, Joshua Huber: joshua.s.huber5.mil@mail.mil Synopsis: Scope of Service is for the Removal of the existing Security Fence and replacement in kind with new������� Fence, Top rail, barb wire, posts and Gates where needed.� The existing fence has been in place since the construction of the Base circa 1940.� The new fence will meet current Military Standards.� The area within 10 feet of the fence will be cleared for maintenance and security requirement.� Antiterrorism Measures are to be included in accordance with the DOD Minimum Antiterrorism for building standards. Project Scope. Project site is located on the Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Site (CJAGJMTC), 8451 State Route 5 Ravenna, Ohio 44266. CJAGJMTC is requiring the removal and replacement of Base Bid amount of 6,175 lineal feet of existing fence around the perimeter road. This project will be broken down into the base bid and Alternate options of various lineal feet and work scope. The Base Bid work begins at approximately Southern, Latitude & Longitude 41.162900, -81.097756 at the area known as the �Dormitory Road Gate�. The Alternate options are contiguous to the Base Bid and each other. These Options proceed clockwise (west) along the perimeter road.� Necessary clearing, grubbing and cleanup of stumps and limbs that may impact the work area and the 10 foot security line of site. Vegetation clearing outside of the work area will be the minimum required to facilitate access to the work area. Vegetation clearing will comply with the Environmental Procedures regarding size, seasonal restrictions, and protection of nesting birds, bats, and other species. Installation of temporary fence to maintain the security of the Base. The fence line shall be secured at the end of each working shift by the contractor. If the contractor chooses, the fabric from the fence to be removed can be used for temporary fence with steel posts driven to secure. Area under and around the new fence shall be adequately graded to maintain clearances between the top and bottom as well as the 10 foot security zone. The fence line shall also be graded to drain as much as possible away from the fence to allow for future mowing and maintenance of the 10 foot security zone. All areas disturbed by construction shall be reseeded and mulched and a grass cover established as required in the Environmental Procedures The Base Bid and accepted Alternate Options as noted of perimeter fence shall be removed and replaced to ensure the security of Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center (CJAGJMTC). This area does not include sections of fence that have been newly replaced prior to this scope of work. All replacement shall be done in accordance with applicable laws and safety practices. The new posts, fabric, top rail, outriggers, bottom wire and barbed wire shall meet the criteria set forth on Standard Drawing �FE6 Chain-Link Security Fence Details-STD 872-90-03� and in�UFC 4-022-03.�This project is to include all gates that are not newly installed prior to this scope of work. Also In accordance with�UFC 4-022-03, all culverts and drainage areas shall follow the Specifications under this standard as well. In the event adequate SDVOSB�contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted. When:� August 24 2020 at 1300 Contact Hugh Holley for base access if you were not able to attend the first site visit.� Those who attended the first site visit and want to attend the second site visit - we have your information already and will give it to the gate guard so you should be able to get onto the gate on Monday as well. UPDATE:� BID OPENING INFORMATION No bids will be accepted via Email.� Live bid opening is August 31 2020 at 2:00 pm at CJAGMTC.� Drop bids off in front of office (8451 SR 5, BLDG 1068) where we met for the site visits by 1400 on that date.� Box will be available starting at 1100 that day.� Bids will be opened at 1400 under the Solar Canopy across from the office.
