Description

The Air Force is soliciting feedback from industry for a requirement for a Mail Sorter. Please see the below requirements and provide any feedback, recommendations,�or questions on the requirements to daira.rodriguez@us.af.mil and�bryon.mordhorst@us.af.mil no later than 1700 (5pm) Central European Summer Time, Wednesday 26 August 2020.� This is not a Request for Quote/Bid/Proposal etc. There is no guarantee that a Request for Quote/Bid/Proposal will result from this Request for Information. No funds will be paid for contractor costs associated with responding to this Request for Information and funds are not presentaly available for this potential requirement. The PLACE OF PERFORMANCE/DELIVERY for this mail sorter would be�Ramstein, Germany.� The tentative Mail Sorter Performance Requirements are as follows: Provide a mail sorter that is capable of the following: (1) Sort mail pieces between 3�-12� Long by 5�-11.5� Wide by 0.01-0.25� Thick; (2) Sort to up to 20,000 different receptacle numbers; (3) Configurable for custom sort schemes for three Post Offices; (4) Sort a minimum of 10,000 pieces per hour; (5) stamp mail pieces the same day they are sorted;� (6) Will not require an air compressor for operation; (7) Will require a space of no larger than 14�-6� by 6�-6� for installation; (8) Able to read handwritten addresses; and (8) Able to operate using standard power (voltage/frequency) commonly available in Germany. In addition, sources shall be able to provide the following support in Germany: (1) shipping; (2) turnkey set-up and operation; (3) warranty, service agreement, any needed software licenses; (4) end user training; and (5) Help desk support and same day support.
