- Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order to the Great Minds in STEM (GMIS) (CAGE: 1Q367) for registrations to the 2020 HENAAC/GMiS Career Fair. This Requirement includes 16 Registrations,(1) Career Fair virtual Exhibit Booth (Thurs. 10/8 & Fri. 10/9),� (1) Career Fair Virtual Interview Booth (Thurs. 10/8 & Fri. 10/9), Speed Networking (Up to 4 Recruiters), (1) Career Opportunities in the Recruiting Guide, (2) Company Representative Photos featured Gold level logo with hyperlink on the GMiS Conference website and social media sites. The virtual attendance/participation package includes digital registration, ads, and resumes, additional registration, and 200 additional registrations. Period of Performance: 5 October 2020 to 9 October 2020 PSC: U005 (EDUCATION/TRAINING- TUITION/REGISTRATION/MEMBERSHIP FEES) NAICS: 611710 - Educational Support Services Award Procedures: The Government intends to award this requirement sole source to GMiS (CAGE: 1Q367). Every year, USACE attends and is represented at multiple conferences. At many of these conferences, the purchase of the booth rental acts as the conference registration or the conference space has a vendor the attendee(s) must use for booth rental. The recruitment of Hispanic employees, as part of the USACE Hispanic Employment Program, is an integral part of the USACE Equal Employment Opportunity program. USACE�s participation at career fairs and conferences targeted toward Latino citizens is part of the program to take affirmative steps to provide equal opportunity to minorities, women and people with disabilities in all areas of employment. The GMiS conference brings to one location over 3500 attendees, including nearly 1800 college students and recent graduates. It is the 2nd largest Latino-centric STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) organization in the country and affords USACE an unparalleled opportunity for spreading USACE brand awareness among prospective applicants and educators. The HENAAC conference also allows for concentrated hiring efforts in one location. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. A solicitation will not be posted. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by the response date indicated on this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. �
