Description
**THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT REGARDING THE SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR FACILITIES INVESTMENT, CUSTODIAL SERVICES, PEST CONTROL, INTEGRATED SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT, GROUNDS MAINTENANCE and PAVEMENT CLEARANCE LOCATED AT NOSC BALTIMORE, MARYLAND IS TO CHANGE THE NOTICE ID FROM: N40085-20-R-7209 TO: N40085-20-R-7207.** ***************************************************************************************************** GENERAL WORK REQUIREMENTS: FACILITY INVESTMENT SERVICES: The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, and equipment required to perform Facility Investment services for facilities. The intent of�Facility Investment is to specify the requirements for Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (SRM) sub-functions only.� The Facility Investment requirements within this sub-annex primarily consist of infrastructure sustainment and minimal restoration and modernization work.� Sustainment is the maintenance and repair necessary to keep an inventory of facilities and other assets in good working order.� Restoration and modernization normally consists of major rehabilitation and capital improvements that is accomplished through other Navy programs.� Some major repair, minor construction and stand-alone demolition may be accomplished as part of Facility Investment. The Contractor shall perform maintenance, repair, alteration, demolition and minor construction for the following: Building and Structures: Interior and exterior finishes, Roofing, Foundation, Structural Components, Cathodic Protection Systems, Tanks and POL System. Building Systems: HVAC, Fire Protection, Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE), Intrusion Detection Systems, Boilers (excluding Central Utility Plant Boilers), Unfired Pressure Vessels (UPV), Compressed Air Systems, Potable Water (including backflow prevention devices), Wastewater, Electrical, Lightning Arrestors and Grounding Devices, Auxiliary Generator Systems (including emergency and portable generators), Grease Traps, Exhaust Hoods and Ducts and WHE. Miscellaneous: Signs, Fences, Locksmith, Drainage Ditches, Monuments and Flag Poles. Roads and Paved Surfaces: Traffic Control Devices, Bicycle Paths, Pedestrian/Jogging Paths, Striping, Curbs, Sidewalks, Parking Lots, Bridges, Drainage Systems and Outdoor Courts. CUSTODIAL SERVICES: The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, and equipment required to perform custodial services.� The intent of Custodial is to specify the requirements related to the cleaning of facilities.� Custodial requirements consist mainly of services that ensure the cleanliness of working environments. Custodial services do not include any repair work of facilities or fixtures.� Custodial services include waste removal for buildings and service locations to collection points, but not disposal of waste from collection the site. Custodial service does not include removal and disposal of biohazardous waste (from areas such as medical centers). PEST CONTROL: The Contractor shall perform pest control to prevent and control the following pests: Unwanted vegetation and invasive plants. Nuisance, structure damaging, lawn, turf and ornamental, and disease vector and health arthropod and invertebrate pests: cockroaches, termites, bees, wasps, ants, fleas, silverfish, stored product pests and bedbugs.� Vertebrate pests: mice, rats, bats, feral dogs and cats, other nuisance mammals, pigeons and other nuisance birds. INTEGRATED SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT (ISWM): The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, and equipment required to perform refuse collection, disposal and recycling.� The intent of Integrated Solid Waste Management is to specify the requirements related to the collection and disposal of solid waste and recyclable materials.�� ISWM services does not include waste removal from inside buildings and service locations to waste collection points.� ISWM services does not include removal and disposal of biohazardous waste. ISWM services do not include any repair work of facilities or fixtures. � GROUNDS MAINTENANCE: The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to provide grounds maintenance and landscaping. The intent of Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping is to specify the requirements related to lawn maintenance, vegetation removal, and debris removal within installation grounds parcels designated as improved, semi-improved and unimproved areas.� Services include mowing and trimming, edging, irrigation systems maintenance. Weed control is limited to application of herbicides. Exterior trash receptacles and debris removal within 5 feet of designated buildings are excluded from this specification. As required for weed control contiguous to buildings, streets, and roads included within this specification used for the application of herbicides and control of pests in grassed areas, on plants, trees, and shrubs. Maintenance and repair of irrigation system and components (Irrigation system at the Baltimore NOSC are no longer in service). � PAVEMENT CLEARANCE: The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, and equipment required to perform Pavement Clearance. The intent of Pavement Clearance is to specify the requirements related to pavement sweeping and snow removal operations.
