Description

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for High Temperature Thermogravimetric system with High Sensitivity Balance. [SOW attached to solicitation] NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to Setaram, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Setaram Instrumentation has developed a unique highly sensitive thermogravimetric system capable of reaching 2400C, the only one of its kind. To the best of NASA/GSFC�s knowledge and belief there are no other vendors that have made a system capable of reaching these temperatures, nor at the sensitivity that this system measures data. NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort on behalf of NASA/ Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). Performance will be performed at the vendors site. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334516. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort by email to dorothy.s.baskin@nasa.gov not later than 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2020, Eastern Time. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
