- Description
- This requirement is in direct support of COVID-19 activities.� It is anticipated to be a multi-year contract with a 5-year period of performance and will utilize any acquisition flexibilities as authorized under FAR Part 18, if applicable.�� This notice also serves as notification of intent to sole source to�Health Level Seven International Inc., a non-profit agency.� The Justification for Other Than Full and Open Compeition will be posted at a later date.�� The purpose of this requirement is to support�standards development and implementation activities for the United States Realm Steering Committee (USR-SC). The objectives of this contract include: Provide administrative support to the USR-SC. Support the USR-SC�s governance of standards development and implementation activities. Facilitate stakeholder outreach to coordinate standards development and implementation activities in the US Realm. Support development, balloting, and publication of the US Core Implementation Guide and C-CDA standard. Supporting US Realm standards development and implementation activities in this manner will help establish a foundational level of interoperability for the United States for COVID-19 and future public health related activities. These standards will enable electronic health records and other health IT applications to communicate and share information more easily. They will provide a consistent and common set of technical capabilities for health IT developers to build around. And they will ensure that patients and doctors can readily access and use the most important clinical information when and where they need it. Set Aside-Status:� No set aside
