- Description
- THIS AMENDMENT IS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS THAT WERE PRESENTED TO NCO2 CONTRACTING REGARDING ARJO PATIENT LIFT SERVICE What is the age of these units, when were they put into service? The acquisition year for these Arjo Lifts is 2012 Who was doing the PM service in the past for the VA? VETS ACCESS LLC What was the award amount from the previous contract? 5-years / $149,505.26 When was the last time the straps were replaced? There are no records of Lift straps being replaced since acquisition. The SOW says parts are to be included ..normally batteries, straps and kill cords are for most of the repairs .when you say parts included do you mean in additions to these common three ie pcbs boards, handcontrollers, gears, housing etc. Any parts that could/will be needed for any repair of these lifts must be included in the coverage without any additional POs or payment. The parts can be purchase during the repair process while honoring the promised turnaround time. Please confirm that FAR 52.219-14 does not apply and that we should follow 13 CRF 125.6 meaning that a maximum of 50% of the contract cost can be shared with the subcontractor (OEM) and not that a maximum of 50% of the personnel costs can be shared with the subcontractor. The limitation on subcontracting applies. We use VAAR 852.219-74 (FAR 52.219-14) for this. Please confirm that since this is a 811219 service related contract that parts ordered from the subcontractor can be excluded from the 50% requirement. The amount of parts ordered is not an exclusion from the 50%. Please confirm that the solicitation is not requiring an OEM certified technician to perform the work. The solicitation does not have to be specifically OEM certification as long as they re capable and certified to service the lifts with good previous experience. Please confirm that deflection testing is part of the testing requirements. Yes, deflection testing is part of the testing requirements. Due to the age of the equipment, will the VA cover the costs of getting the equipment to OEM standards or will a pre-inspection be allowed to ensure that the equipment has been properly maintained to date? Pre-inspection quality check can be done within the first month of the agreement. PM was just performed on Jan 2020 and they all passed. PM reports are available upon request. Is the equipment currently on a preventive maintenance schedule and if so, are all the PMs completed at once or are they spread out throughout the year? Yes, currently under contract with Vets Access LLC and all PMs are completed at once usually within a week. Besides the unlimited service calls and annual PMs, are there any other regular on-site expectations? No. Only repair service calls and PMs. What percentage of the units have scales? 4/95 = 4.2% have scales
