Description

Subject: Award a Sole Source Contract to Microsoft FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source (except brand name) The U.S. Military Academy, Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), West Point, NY award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to procure Microsoft Hololens Version 2 Augmented Reality (AR) headset. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract, and is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed contract is for the procure Microsoft Hololens Version 2 Augmented Reality (AR) headset. �The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The Mission Installation Contracting Command - West Point on behalf of the United States Military Academy (USMA) West Point Directorate of Military Instruction (DMI) intends to award sole source, firm fixed price contract to Microsoft 12012 Sunset Hills Road Reston, Virginia 20190-5869 ) for Microsoft Hololens Version 2 Augmented Reality (AR) headset. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334118 Computer Peripheral Manufacturing with the associated size standard of 1000 Employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet all aspects of the requirement. Responses should be addressed to, Mr. Ignacio Cordova via email at Ignacio.j.cordova2.civ@mail.mil no later than the response date and time of 12:00 PM EDT on Wednesday, 19 August 2020. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
