- Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Sources Sought Notice Deionized Water System and Distribution Loop Maintenance This is a Sources Sought notice and not a request for quotes. This request is solely for the purpose of conducting market research to enhance VHA s understanding of your company s offered services and capabilities. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted in response to this Source Sought Notice. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their capability and availability to provide the service requirement described below. Vendors are being invited to submit information relative to their potential to fulfill this requirement, in the form of a capability response that addresses the specific requirement identified in this Sources Sought (please include your company DUNS Number on your submission). The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking to locate a qualified vendor to provide Deionized Water System and Distribution Loop Maintenance for the West Haven Connecticut VA Medical Center. The general service and standards of services shall be of quality; meeting or exceeding those outlined in the General Requirements section below. This Sources Sought is to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. General Requirements: The contractor shall: (all services listed below shall be performed 12 times a year (monthly)) Inspect the DI Water System, to includes inspection of the items listed below. Service Technician shall document any issues in the service report that could potentially affect the DI Water. Inspect control panel on the RO by checking the system control panel for correct operation and indicators on the panel. To include control switches, indicator lamps, meters and local alarms. Record any issues in the service report. Inspect UV lamp performance for correct operation. Document whether the UV intensity monitor is operating within specification. Complete Pressure Calibration Rental Carbon Tanks, 3.61 cu.ft. Contractor shall bring the rental carbon tank to the designated area on site, remove old tank and connect the new tank. DI System Disinfect To maintain the quality of the DI water loop, the contractor shall disinfect the RO Loop and/or storage tank with MINNCARE Disinfectant. The Contractor shall use MINNCARE test strips to verify that the MINNCARE is clear from the loop and/or storage tank. Inspect and Replace Filters Contractor shall remove the old filter and replace with a new filter. Inspect and Replace UV Lamp and Quartz Sleeve Contractor shall remove the old UV Lamp and quartz sleeve and replace with a new UV lamp and Quartz Sleeve. Rental DI Tanks, 14x47, 3.61 cu.ft. The Contractor shall bring the rental DI tanks to the designated area on site, remove the old tanks and connect the new tanks. Meter Calibration Flush acid loop with hot water and vinegar Debris Removal: Upon completion of each service, all debris shall be removed from the facilities by the contractor and shall be disposed of in accordance with applicable State Environmental Protection Regulations.
