Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for work to include training operators with safety training in the operation of mobile cranes and rigging safety for 12 students.� Contractor will also provide a Managers course on mobile crane safety.� Training is being provided to Industrial Production Facilities Miami, ANT Fort Lauderdale, ANT Fort Pierce, and USCGC HUDSON members.� Contractor will travel and provide training locally at US Coast Guard Sector Miami and the dates for this training will need to either be 08/31/2020-09/04/2020 or 09/07/2020-09/11/2020. � The solicitation number is 70Z028-20-Q-K1HV000. � � Applicable North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) codes are: 611519� Other Technical and Trade Schools������������������Size standard: $14.0 Mil. � This requirement is for a Firm Fixed Price contract. �The contract will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR part 13 and FAR part 15. � The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, Best Value. Best value will be determined by past performance, technical evaluation, and cost. � When submitting your proposals, request a price breakdown of the following: Travel Cost breakdown per student (12 Students) Cost of materials � Contract will be awarded to the vendor who can provide training within the SOW and within the timeframe needed by units. During hands-on training the focus is to teach proper pre-use inspection then to put each student in the crane and instruct them on how to maintain load control.� Management training consists of mobile crane and rigging subjects with a focus on educating persons who are in charge of crane operations in the technical aspects of crane safety, load chart use, how to determine gross and net crane capacity, understanding proper crane set-up, site hazards and associated safety topics. The course enables managers to understand crane limitations and capabilities so they can more effectively manage load handling safety. The course shall include all training aids, and course material curtailed to ASME B30.5, ANSI B30.5 and OSHA 1926.1400.� Course material shall include a Mobile Cranes handbook, a Rigging handbook, a Rigger�s Capacity Card, and a Hand Signal card for all personnel being trained.� The courses shall also provide an on-hand usage and operation of the Grove Model No. RT58D Crane.� Both of these courses shall be provided within the same week to all personnel attending the training.
