- This is a Notice of Intent to award, not a request for Quotation. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with MESO SCALE DICOVERY, MSD for the following: � MULTI-SPOT� 96 10-Spot Custom CATALOG # N05CA-1 � �Qty: 100� a.�� �Description of the supplies/services to be purchased ��� �Procurement of MesoScale Discovery (MSD) plates and reagents for VIP assay support to COVID-19 Phase 3 Clinical trials. � Provide VIP with MSD 96-well plates custom spotted with SARS CoV-2 S-2P (or other stabilized version of this same protein), SARS CoV-2 Receptor Binding Domain (RBD) and SARS CoV-2 N ( nucleocapsid proteins), SARS-CoV-2 NTD, OC43 Spike, HKU1 Spike, NL63 Spike, 229E Spike, SARS-1 Spike � Provide all accompanying reagents, including but not limited to; SULFO TAG Anti Human lg G Antibody Calibrator/Normalization Reagent MSD Blocker A Diluent 100 MSD Gold Read Buffer B Wash buffer � Provide quality documentation for each lot of plates provided under this PO such �as a certificate of analysis or equivalent All above reagents delivered in a timely manner will allow the VIP to perform the testing for data generation in support of decision making for the Phase 1 trial. The purpose of the procurement is for the vendor to provide 100 plates of MSD MULTI-SPOT� 96 10-Spot custom coated with the specific proteins of request including sufficient related reagents to the Vaccine Immunology program (VIP) The Vaccine Immunology Program � The objective is to supply the reagents for the VIP to perform the multiplex assay testing in support of Phase1 Coronavirus trials as the exploratory immunogenicity readout. Electrochemiluminescent (ECL) assay is the only assay format that can be used for VIP support of the Phase 1 clinical trial conducted under Operation Warp Speed (OWS). No other standard ELISA assay will provide the necessary high throughput required to analyze the volume of samples expected. Working with MSD and developing this technique the VIP offers the best assay methodology and hence data generation for more accurate phase 1 decision making outcomes.
