Description
REPLACEMENT OF THE USCGC GEORGE COBB CRANE SHACK DOORS FOR USCGC GEORGE COBB RFQ: 70Z08520LLM19100 SCOPE OF WORK Fabricate 02 new watertight doors for the ships crane shack and ship them to the unit. DETAILS OF WORK The doors need to be fabricated to the same size specifications as the currently installed doors. Size specifications for the door are 68"" tall by 28"" wide. The frames need to be constructed of mild steel so they can be welded to the bulkhead that houses them. The doors are to be constructed of aluminum to make them more resistant to weather and the wear and tear that made the current doors inoperable. Both doors need to be outward swinging doors. One door needs to be a right handed door and the other needs to be a left handed door. Both doors need to have a window that measures at 15"" tall by 14"" wide. Upon completion of work contractor must pack and ship new watertight doors to USCGC George Cobb. Please direct your questions or concerns about this solicitation to SK2 ASHLEY WHITLOW at� Ashley.M.Whitlow@uscg.mil Must submit Photos of work upon completion REPORTING REQUIREMENTS Contractor shall report to Contracting Officer upon completion of project. WORKING DIRECTIVES It is the Contractor�s responsibility to follow one of the two following drawings/models. The exact model of door currently onboard is the Cornell-Carr CC-3009AH ��Rectagle Lite Weatherside View. If a contractor cannot follow the specifications of the model noted in (1.1) then they have to follow U.S. Coast Guard standard drawing FL-1602-89 for doors as a template but will need to adjust the corners of the door and frame to be squared not rounded and put in a bigger window that fits the 15"" tall by 14"" wide specification. DAMAGE TO GOVERNMENT PROPERTY Not applicable. SAFETY AND SECURITY Not applicable. MISCELLANEOUS Installation of the doors will be completed by the ships forces.
