The quote due date of 19�August 2020, 2:00 p.m. remains unchanged. *********** UPDATE on 16 JULY 2020:� The Request for Quote (RFQ) including attachments is hereby published. Please see the documents in Attachments/Links. Reminder:� The site visit is�tomorrow 17 July 2020 (Friday) 0900. Please note the site visit meeting place has changed. Participants will meet at Gate Number 27 (Depot Gate) Via Aurelia, Stagno (Livorno). *********** Description of the project: �This is a Design-Build project. The general scope of the project is to guarantee the self-replenishment of the fire water storage tanks in accordance with UFC 3-600-01. This scope includes the replacement of the two existing damaged groundwater wells (named #2 and #3) with two new wells sized to meet the minimum requirement of 75 mc/h water supply each. For the scope of the sizing, this minimum quantity of water must be considered available from the aquifer. All new works must comply with the hydrogeological analysis and documentation approved by Ufficio Genio Civile del Valdarno Inferiore that must be considered as part of this scope of the work. It is in charge to the Contractor collect all the necessary documentation and prepare all the documents to be submitted at the end of the work to the Ufficio Genio Civile. Contractor shall have a professional geologist as dependent or consultant to prepare all the required documentation and supervise the works. All works shall be designed and planned to limit disruptions to the firefighting system. All other requirements to make the work totally in compliance with Italian and U.S. standards shall be identified summarized in a report and included in the design. PRODUCT SERVICE CODE: �Z1NE Maintenance of Water Supply Facilities NORTH INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS): �237110 Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction LOCATION OF WORK: �The work under this contract will be performed at Darby Military Community, USAG Italy. MAGNITUDE OF THE PROJECT: The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 (�85,870.00) to $250,000.00 (�214,675.00)�� (Rate used: $1 = Euro 0.8587) METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This will be a Request for Quotation (RFQ) resulting in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract.� PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: This project shall be performed in two phases.� The Government intends to issue two separate Notice to Proceed. The first notice to proceed will be issued for the design phase and the second will be issued for the construction phase. The Contractor has forty five (45) calendar days to submit the Pre-final design including the time to get installation access passes and the Government has fifteen (15) calendar days to review the design and provide comments. The Contractor has thirty (30) calendar days to submit the Final design and the Government has fifteen (15) calendar days to review the design and provide comments/final corrections. The number of days for the construction phase is ninety (90) calendar days. SITE VISIT: �The site visit is scheduled for 17 July 2020 (Friday)(0900) at Gate No. 4, Camp Darby Main Gate, Tirrenia (Pisa), Italy. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: In order to participate all interested parties will be invited to indicate their interest by submitting an email not later than Close of Business (COB) by 1 July�2020 or sooner to ryan.d.bueno2.civ@mail.mil and cristina.pancaccini2.ln@mail.mil. Please indicate in your e-mail the solicitation number and the name of the company, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, and name(s) of the person(s) who will be present at the site visit (maximum two persons): first name, last name, date of birth, place of birth, type and number of identification document. Please attach the Identification Document (Carta di Identita) to the e-mail. Only the person(s) who have provided the personal data will be allowed to attend the site visit. The guards will check the identification card at the gate. Visitors not included or annotated on the visitor list will be denied the entrance to the Installations. Not indicating interest as described above does not preclude the offeror from participating in this requirement. Note:� Interested Parties are NOT required to attend the organized site visit in order to submit a quote.
