Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items. The ACC-APG Tenant Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source supply contract to Technical Representatives Inc Cage Code: 01UY3. The objective of this contract is the acquisition of Integrated Sound Level Meters of Larson Davis brand for the US Army Public Health Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. These instruments will increase the accuracy, capability, capacity and efficiency of the Army Hearing Program to support Army and Federal regulations. Larson Davis is the sole source provider for the Model 831 sound level meter as well as all the firmware (831-ELA, 831-FFT, 831-LOG, 831-FST, 831-IH, 831-OB3 and 831-SR). Their parent company PCB Piezotronics are the sole producers of the 377C10 and 378A12 microphones. TRI is an authorized distributor that can provide the SoundAdvisor 831C and all Larson Davis products. As such, this requirement will be awarded on a sole-source basis IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Soliciting from a single source ( exclusive licensing agreements). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334513. Posting date of this requirement is 5 August 2020. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, 18 August 2020. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. This is not a Request for Quote. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis the required services. Any questions regarding this notice must be submitted to: Rex M.
