- SYNOPSIS This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract with Integrated Security Solutions, Inc., 108 Cooperative Way, Kalispell, MT 59901. The purpose is to purchase Software House hardware products through Integrated Security Solutions, Inc. for management of our electronic security system. Integrated Security Solutions is an authorized integrated network partner of Software House. Only Software House products can be used as they are compatible with the existing system. This purchase of hardware would include: Quantity of Ten (10) iSTAR Ultra SE, 8 readers, with enclosure and 5A PSU, P/N USTAR008-SE; and, Quantity of Two (2) iSTAR Ultra SE, 16 readers, with enclosure and 5A PSU, P/N USTAR016-SE. The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b) � Soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code used is 334111 � Electronic Computer Manufacturing. The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 1250 employees. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government by submitting a quote to the contracting officer before the notice end date. If no affirmative written responses are received by 12:00 PM Pacific Time on 18 August 2020 an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Electronic responses and questions shall be submitted via email to the point of contact at dawn.r.simpson@usace.army.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. The US Army Corps of Engineers is not responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
