- Special Notice of Intent to award under Solicitation: W81K0220Q0202 Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Regional Health Contracting Office Pacific (Joint Base Lewis-McChord Health Contracting Cell), Lacey, WA, intends to issue a sole source award to Varian Medical Systems, Inc the estimated amount of $215,060.00 for a base and one year option period to purchase Maintenance and Repair Service for Calypso Scanning System . Varian Medical Systems, Inc has proprietary rights for all maintenance, repair service, hardware and software, which must be compatible with the existing government owned Calypso Scanning System located in the Department of Radiology at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), JBLM, Tacoma, WA. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for quote/proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capabilities and specifications.
