- Description
- The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) campus in Golden is owned by the Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). NREL is preparing to release a competitive solicitation for our EMAPS laboratory planning. NREL anticipates the following schedule: SS submission due August 14, 2020 Objective The objective of this document is to solicit responses that will assist in finding interested and qualified sources for receiving an eventual Request for Proposal (RFP) to perform laboratory planning and program services.� All parties that indicate interest will receive the solicitation. Additional sources and may be added to the list of organizations to receive the solicitation. � The Subcontractor shall perform repairs on non-compliant fire rated doors from the deficiency reports. There shall be a coordination meeting prior to the performing of any repairs. A detailed report of all repairs shall be complete as the project progresses. The Subcontractor shall address the 211 deficiencies, which includes labor, materials, and expenses associated with the project. The fire doors, frames, and fire exit hardware shall be relabeled. Find the fire rated doors in-scope deficiencies listed in Exhibit B, attached. Requirements The organization shall be capable of providing repairs to fire rated doors, pursuant to all Joint Commission, NFPA, State and/or Local Codes. The Subcontractor shall provide a narrative on relative experience to said project. Desired Vendor Characteristics� NREL is seeking a Subcontractor that meets the following criteria: Availability � Vendors should be able to provide repairs during NREL regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) Monday through Friday except NREL recognized holidays. The Subcontractor personnel scheduled to work during non-working hours must notify the Site Entrance Building at (303) 384-6811. There shall be a mandatory one-month completion deadline from the agreed upon start date.� Location - Vendors shall effectively perform the requested functions within the specified buildings on the NREL campus with knowledge of on-site codes and standards. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This request represents a market research effort. During this SS period, NREL will not schedule demonstrations. Any costs associated with the development of a response to this request will not be reimbursed by NREL and submission does not guarantee or otherwise promise inclusion in any forthcoming RFP. The responses to this SS should be submitted as either an Adobe Acrobat PDF document or a Microsoft Word document and provided as an attachment to an email. Attachments should contain the name of the company/organization providing the responses. Responses to this SS shall be accepted on or before 12:00 P.M (Mountain Standard Time), August 14, 2020 and are to be sent via email to Terran Hasselbach (terran.hasselbach@nrel.gov).
