Description & Salient Characteristics: PowerLabs are portable USB data acquisition devices. This unit provides a maximum sampling rate of 200kHz per channel while providing superior external noise reduction, low internal noise, minimal signal drift, and high CMRR (common-mode rejection ratio) inputs. These are important parameters as even subtle signal degradation will significantly reduce the quality of data produced. The investigator currently uses a PowerLab unit with smaller capacity that has performed extremely well. Laboratory personnel is familiar with the unit and, importantly, the software required for operation. As such, retraining of personnel is not required and data loss due to operator error will be minimized. PowerLab units have provided reliable operation for a large number of investigators resulting in over 20,000 research papers in peer reviewed journals. The FE117 BP Amp is a galvanically-isolated (certified safe for human connection, CF certified), software-controlled amplifier for use with standard sterile, disposable blood pressure transducers. The unit is preset to measure pressure (mmHg) with the supplied pressure transducer (MLT0670). A MLAC05 Cable and MLT0670 Disposable BP Transducer (stopcock) is supplied with the unit. The MLAC05 adapter cable (3.9 m) is used for connecting the MLT0670 Disposable BP Transducer (stopcock) to the FE117 BP Amp. The MLT0699 is a disposable blood pressure transducer designed for direct measurement of arterial and venous pressure (-50 to +300 mmHg) in animals. Can be used with any comparable Bridge Amps with a MLAC06 Adapter Cable. For animal use only. The PowerLab 8/35 data acquisition system is an 8 channel, 16 bit resolution recorder with programmable gain, four general-purpose BNC analog inputs, four optional single-ended (BNC)/differential (Pod port) analog inputs, two independent stimulator outputs, an external trigger input and signal triggering. The unit also features a wide range of low-pass filters, AC or DC coupling and digital inputs and outputs for external instrument control. The PowerLab uses a high-speed USB 2.0 interface for connection to Windows and Mac OS computers with a maximum throughput of 400 000 samples/s. Includes LabChart software.
