Description
This is a Sources Sought to conduct market research to determine the availability of small business vendors capable of providing the requirement for Accreditation Fee Pharmacy Residency Program-ASHP Services. Please see Statement of Work for details. � This requirement is for the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. The sources sought does not guarantee the issuance of an RFQ. If you have the availability to provide the requirement, please respond to the sources sought with a capabilities statement. � The sources sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The VA is not, at this time, seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to the sources sought; all costs associated with responding to the sources sought will be solely at the interested vendor�s expense. Not responding to the sources sought does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned. � Please note that requirements defined to date may change before a final solicitation is released. VA reserves the right not to respond to any or all emails or materials submitted. ����� 3.Provide Past Performance (if applicable) ����������������������������������������������������������������������������������Statement of Work (SOW) ���������������������������������������������������������� Accreditation Fee Pharmacy Residency Program-ASHP Background The CVVAMC Pharmacy PGY-1 &PGY-2 Residency Programs require ASHP Accreditation to maintain or accreditation or pre-accreditation.� This accreditation will fulfill the Office of Academic Affiliation requirements as specified in VA Handbook 1108.09 Pharmacy Education and Training 6/9/2009. �OAA funds the CVVAMC program for two (2) PGY-1 and one PGYy-2 resident positions. VA Pharmacy Residency Program is the largest training program for advanced clinical pharmacy training in the country. There are over 100 VA PGY1 and PGY2 American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residencies. The training includes a variety of practice areas, such as: Pharmacy Practice, Specialty Residencies (e.g. Geriatrics, Ambulatory Care, Infectious Disease, Psychiatry, Intensive Care, etc.) and Research.� The PGY-1 and PGY-2 Pharmacy Residencies are funded by the Office of Academic Affiliation (OAA).� VHA Handbook 1400.04 on Supervision of Associated Health Trainees also notes that the �VHA follows the requirements of accrediting and certifying bodies for each associated health discipline.� � Objectives The CVVAMC PGY1 Pharmacy Residency is currently accredited by ASHP.� The PGY-2 program is in pre-candidate status. VHA Handbook 1108.09, Pharmacy Education and Training, dated 06/09/2009 requires that all postgraduate pharmacy residency training programs be accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. The programs need to maintain ASHP accreditation to continue to receive central funding through OAA.� Scope This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for the renewal of ASHP Accreditation for CVVAMC PGY-1 and PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency Programs.� This is necessary for the program to continue to function and receive funding from OAA for calendar year 2018.� OAA is responsible for all centrally funded VA Pharmacy Residency Programs. The VA Medical Center can only receive (OAA) funding, if the program remains accredited or pre-candidate status for accreditation. Statement of Required Goods/Deliverables (As applicable) ASHP� �Annual Accreditation of the CVVAMC PGY-1 and PGY-2 Residency Program for the period of 01-Jan-2021 to 31-Dec-2021. Tasks ASHP will provide accreditation site visits and periodic reviews, standards and consultation regarding compliance with the standards, support for improving residency training, electronic resident evaluation system, Phorcas centralized residency application system and Webadmit system for the national match.
