- Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2 is conducting a market survey for vendors capable of providing Water and Wastewater Maintenance, Inspection, Testing and Repair at the New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn, St. Albans and possible Manhattan campus. The Contractor shall provide management, supervision, labor, parts, material, tools, incidental services, and transportation necessary to perform monthly inspection of facility s Water and Wastewater Equipment and associated gear to keep equipment operating as originally specified by the equipment manufacturer. The contractor will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and testing of Water and Wastewater Equipment and associated gear, Catch Basins and 64 backflow preventers in the Brooklyn St. Albans facility, some of which are as high as 20 feet above the floor. The contractor will be responsible for preventative maintenance for both the house traps and the main (15"") sanitary line. The contractor will be responsible for the preventative maintenance of approximately 70 Leslie control valves and 4 control panels. The contractor will be responsible for the annual cleaning and disinfection of the 6 rooftop domestic house tanks, to include checking the integrity of the tank and reporting any abnormalities in writing to the COR. The Contractor shall inspect and service in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, prevailing industry standards and all applicable Federal Codes, Local and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) standards and directives. The Contractor shall obtain all licenses, permits, and insurance required to perform the work in this Contract. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 562998 (All Other Miscellaneous Waste Management Services) and the standard size is $8 million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is J045 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment- Plumbing, Heating, and Waste Disposal Equipment). All responses to this notice MUST be submitting in writing and emailed to charnell.cunningham@va.gov and must be received not later than August 7, 2020 at 10:00AM EST. Interested parties shall provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities (resumes), DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time may not be considered for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 562998 Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced separately, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
