Title: Notice of Intent to Sole Source � Duel Screen X Ray Machine for Hand Luggage Description(s): The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS) intends to award a Purchase Order to Smith Detection Inc., 2202 Lakeside Blvd, Edgewood, MD. 21040, for a Duel Screen X-Ray Machine for Hand Luggage which will be installed at NIEHS, Research Triangle Park campus. The North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334517 and the business size standard is 1,000 employees. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that Smith Detection Inc., is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required equipment which meets the governments requirement�s and can be fully integrated with current Smith Detection Equipment already installed. The purpose of this Purchase Order is to obtain a Duel Screen X-Ray Machine for Hand Luggage. This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS� requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered.� Responses to this posting must be in writing and shall be emailed to Christopher Fisher at Christopher.fisher@nih.gov and are due within 10 days of this posting 1:00PM ET. �A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
