Description

This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. Solicitation W15QKN-20-R-5058 anticipated release date is on or around early August 2020. On behalf of the 99th RD, ACC-NJ has a requirement for Construction Project, CSS# 3840 � Install Access Control Point � Fort Meade, MD (MD008). The Contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and transportation to accomplish all tasked identified in accordance with the Specifications Work (SOW). The construction project shall be performed at the MG Baron J. Dekalb Memorial United States Army Reserve Center (USARC), located at 1250 Annapolis Road Fort Meade, MD 20755 (MD008). There are no known geographic location limitations or issues or unique requirements. Installation shall include but is not limited to�new fencing from the main entry gate right hand side as you enter the property. The fencing shall run approximately 410 lf down the median crossing the parking lot entrances in 2 locations. At each of these 2 locations a cantilever manual gate shall be installed.� The fence line will also cross a concrete sidewalk crosswalk, at this location a 4� swing gate shall be installed. Contractor shall cross road via (2) 15 ft. cantilever gates and continue fencing to Motor Pool Parking Lot Gate Corner Post closest to Building 1252. All fencing materials inclusive of fabric, posts, gates, hardware shall be black, PVC coated. Contractor shall supply and install an approximate total of 525 ft. of new fence line inclusive of� 7 ft. fabric, line posts, corner posts, horizontal bracing, tension wire, barbed wire, (2) 30 ft. cantilever gates, (1) 4� swing gate and (2) 15 ft. cantilever gates. Contractor shall compact, install stone base, asphalt layers and re-curb for an overall width of 32 ft. wide by 75 ft. long where gate operators shall be installed.� Island height shall match existing curbing heights and shall have (2) pedestals installed. Pedestal 1 shall be for Biometric CAC Access Control and Pedestal 2 shall be for telephone entry unit.� Island shall also include bollards and protective bollard covers; 1 bollard on each sides of pedestals shall be installed. Contractor shall run a minimum of 1 � inch PVC conduit in trench from Building 1252 to Island. Contractor shall run interior conduit for communications to IT Room and existing Galaxy Access Control System and Telephone D- Mark. Contractor shall supply and install a minimum of 2 inch PVC conduit from Building 1252 to Gate Operator locations. Contractor shall run interior conduit for power to appropriate local power source i.e.: breaker panel for gate operator feeds. Contractor shall supply and install (2) Hy-Security 222 Series Hydraulic Slide Rail Gate Operators inclusive of: free exit loops, photo safety eyes, loop detectors, heater kits, snowbrush kits, extreme weather drive kits, 40 ft. aluminum slide rail and extreme weather track and (4) 4 inch steel, concrete filled bollards with bollard covers (yellow). Contractor shall tie in Biometric CAC Card Access Control and Telephone Entry Units to Gate Operators, program, test and demonstrate. Period of Performance: The period of performance is 120 calendar days from the notice to priceed date. Disclosue of the Magnitude of Contruction Projects (FAR 36.204): Advance notices and solicition shall state the magnitude of the requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimared price range. The estimated price is to be described in the terms of the follow price range: Between $250,000 and $500,000
