- This is a special notice to award a frim fixed price contract using other than full and open competition under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304c)(1)- FAR 6.302-2(b)(2)- �UNUSUAL AND COMPELLING URGENCY. (2) WHEN THE AGENCY�S NEED FOR THE SUPPLIES OR SERVICES IS OF SUCH AN UNUSUAL AND COMPLELLING URGENCY THAT THE GOVERNMENT WOULD BE SERIOUSLY INJURED UNLIESS THE AGENCY IS PERMITTED TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF SOURCES FROM WHICH IT SOLICITS BIDS OR PROPOSALS, FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION NEED NOT BE PROVIDED FOR.� � This special notice is not a request for competitive proposals. �A request for Quote (RFQ) will not be available for this requirement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Any firm that believes it can provide the stated equipment can provide supporting documentation for their products capability and specifications by August 5th, 2020 by 10:00am.� The point of contact is Joshua Bird, 845-386-6803.
