- Description
- The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to negotiate a Sole Source Firm-Fixed Price contract for Horcher Pro Ceiling Lifts to the Durham VAMC. The Durham VAMC requires Horcher Pro 600LB and 1000LB Ceiling lifts for the Durham NC Rehab gym. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these services are highly specialized are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an approximate effective date of August 7, 2020 to Lorton Group, LLC., The 940 Seneca Road, Wilmette, IL, 60091. This is a Sole Source requirement to satisfy the minimum requirements of the Durham VAMC. The following work shall be completed. Lifting capacity of 600 and 1000 pounds. The lift tracking system will be mounted permanently to structural supports in the ceiling The lift track/rail systems will consist of H tracks for complete room coverage The tracks/rails coverage will extend as far as possible to the walls on each side allowing enough space to store the lift motor when not in use and to remove the motor from the tracks for repairing as needed Hanger bar with 4-point loop suspension Lift motor with hand controllers and PDA Battery indicator available to alert staff the batteries are getting weak Emergency lowering function Continuous charge throughout the track/rail system Scale available to obtain patient weights Provide stamped structural engineering drawings Lifts to be installed as per the 2014 National Patient Safety Alert Available to provide repair services and annual preventive maintenance as required by the manufacturer Install electrical outlet and run power to the electrical boxes Provide staff training on all 3 shifts and Turnkey Project This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals.
