- 36C25520Q0645 This Sources Sought Notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your response to this Sources Sought Notice will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Heartland Network 15, Contracting Office (NCO 15) in developing its acquisition approach, statement of work/statement of objectives and performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought Notice or to otherwise pay for the information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. ** Note: In accordance with the U.S. Supreme Court decision regarding Kingdomware, service disabled veteran owned (SDVOSB) and veteran owned (VOSB), who are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources and capabilities necessary to provide these services shall be verified in VetBiz Registry as follows to be considered: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. Process in 38 U.S.C. 8127(d) whereby a contracting officer of the Department shall award contracts on the basis of competition restricted to small business concerns owned and controlled by veterans, if the contracting officer has a reasonable expectation that two or more small business concerns owned and controlled by veterans will submit offers, and that the award can be made at a fair and reasonable price that offers the best value to the United States. For purposes of this VA specific rule, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) or a veteran-owned small business (VOSB), must meet the eligibility requirements in 38 U.S.C. 8127(e), (f) and VAAR subpart 819.7003 and be listed as verified in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information which will lead to the procurement of appropriate PPE to combat the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and provide the necessary protection for VHA staff and the Veterans they serve. Scope: The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) item as listed below: PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Chemotherapy Gloves; Shall meet ASTM D6978-05 ASTM F739 standards; Nitrile; Powder Free; Non-latex; Textured Fingertip; Ambidextrous; No Less than 9.5 inch and no longer than 12 inch Beaded Cuff; Size: Small, Medium, Large, X-Large; FDA approved; For Medical Use; Disposable; Single Use Only; Shall be TAA Compliant.
