Description

This is a sole source synopsis for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement; and is issued for notification purposes only. The Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARFORSOC) intends to award a sole-source contract to Semper Sozo Inc., under the authority of FAR 19.1406 �Sole source awards to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns�, for the following items: Armadillo LSL-L-12 Segmented Ladders Armadillo LSL-12 Tactical Ladders FERNO Trass Bridging and Climbing Ladder A sole source contract is deemed appropriate as no other vendor is able to satisfy the Government�s requirements on location. One (1) Purchase Order (PO) contract utilizing Firm Fixed Price Contract Line Items is anticipated. Place of delivery is Camp Lejeune, NC. The estimated award date is scheduled for 4 August 2020. Classification Data NAICS Code: 339113 FSC Code: 4210 SBA Applicability & Size Standard: 750 Employees Market Research indicated that Semper Sozo is the sole distributor of the items required. Therefore, the requirement was removed from full and open competition. Semper Sozo Inc. is the only vendor able to fulfill all the requirements This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement or an exception to the Government's intent to purchase on a sole source basis until 3 August 2020 4:00 pm EST. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government is not responsible for any cost incurred for submissions in response to this notice.
