DEBAKEY VA MEDICAL CENTER (VAMC), HOUSTON, TEXAS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 36C25620Q0740 BACKGROUND: The Houston VAMC has a requirement for the following BRAND NAME OR EQUAL supplies: Manufacturer Stock # Item Description BAU-LEGACY 13-E-1 (Single Phase) Breathing Air Comp. BAU-LEGACY 2- FS 2 Position Fill Station (CFS5.5-2S) SEE SOW ATTAHCED REQUESTED RESPONSES: The intent of this Request for Information is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g. set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post in the near future. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following: Please respond to this RFI if you can provide the exact brand name products listed in the table in the background section above. In the response please cite your business size status. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, please include the contract details in your response. Please respond to this RFI if you can provide supplies that can be determined EQUIVALENT to the products listed in the table in the background section above. Please provide details on the proposed EQUIVALENT products such as Manufacturer Name, Part Number, and Description. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, please include the contract details in your response. Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Small Business Manufacturers. Statement of Work For Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Compressor System Alexandria VA Health Care System Pineville, Louisiana Scope The Alexandria VA Health Care System Fire Department requires a Compressor system to fill Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) bottles with breathable purified air. The system will be delivered to Building 15 at the Alexandria VA located at 2495 Shreveport Hwy, Pineville, LA. The contractor is to provide delivery and place the system but not to install or hook up to electrical to the unit. Contractor will only be reasonable to deliver and set in place where the system will be that utilized. No site visit will be required because contractor is placing unit in engine bay of the fire station with no obsticals. Objective To ensure all requirements of the contract are met and completed by the completion date provided in the contract documents. To ensure that all activities are performed in such a manner as to ensure safe and correct operation and in compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations and contract specifications. TASK Furnish required name brand or equal components as per description and quantity listed below QTY Description 1 Bauer Legacy 2 Compressor system or equal to 3 Phase and 18 scfm in 208 Volt Size - 30 x 21 x 53 (762 x 533 x 1346) or smaller Self-adjusting drive belt tensioner NEMA 4 rated electrical enclosure with ULĀ® listed control panel Emergency stop push button 049 wall thickness stainless steel tubing throughout Rugged powder coat finish Automatic condensate drain system Compressor on/off, final pressure, oil pressure, high temperature shutdown Motor overload indication Final separator counter with shutdown and operator indication COMPRESSOR SYSTEM MUST WORK EXISTING 10,000 PSI 4 BOTTLE FILL STAION Delivery The contractor is to provide delivery and place the system but not to install. All work shall be completed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and all applicable professional standards. Security and General Requirements Delivery should be completed between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm CST, Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Contractors and sub-contractors shall obtain an access badge from the Alexandria VA Police Department while performing any work at the Alexandria VAHCS or CBOCs. Security and privacy requirements vary depending on the equipment to be serviced and the service being performed. Contractor personnel may be required to complete any or all of the following but not limited to: Online training. Submit to finger printing and background investigation. Provide network security information as requested for any equipment used in the VA facilities. The extent of these requirements shall be determined by using service POC using current facility Information Technology and Privacy rules in cooperation with experts in those departments. Parking shall be limited to established concrete or improved rock parking lots, using service POC will advise which parking lots to use. Contractors and personnel are not allowed on the grass area unless specifically authorized by the facility POC. U.S. District Court Violation Notices shall be issued for parking violations. All work is to be performed within all OSHA, EPA, VA, and Federal, State and local codes and regulations. Period of Performance Work shall be performed, with issuance of Notice to Proceed, with a performance period 90 days for completions and acceptance of project at the Alexandria VAHCS, Pineville, Louisiana. ISO Requirements: The C&A requirements do not apply, therefore a Security Accreditation Package is not required. Contractor must be escorted in sensitive areas. .
