- Description
- SOLICITATION UPDATE SEE NEW RESPONSE DATE/TIME/ZONE AUGUST 4, 2020 10:00 AM EST. NEW SOW BELOW AND CORRECTION TO CLIN LINE 6 PLEASE SEE SOW-Radios This is a request to procure radios to be used under emergencies as part of VAPHS s contingency plan. Should a natural disaster or mass casualty event occur resulting in the disruption of normal communication channels, having radio communication as an alternative form of communication will be of the utmost importance. We request two different types of radio. The higher-end model, though more expensive, would have vital functions that a less expensive model does not. Specifically, we require a model that would allow for communication with local and state police as well as with first responders. A lower-end model would be sufficient for communication within the units of the medical center. Radios must meet the minimum requirements below: Radios for Communication with Outside Entities: As outlined, in other paperwork, we request the Motorola brand for standardization. Ten (10) Motorola brand APX 8000 All Band Model 2.5 radios with Astro Digital CAI operation, Motorola conventional software. Radios should also include Delete 7/800 MHZ band. Out of the box WiFi and WiFi capability are not needed as these radios cannot connect to our network. RSM display with jack, and cases should also be included. Standard warranties and shipping should be included in the bids. Radios for Intrafacility Communication: As outlined, in other paperwork, we request the Motorola brand for standardization. Seventeen (17) Motorola brand APX 900 VHF Model 2 radios are requested that are P25 certified. Seventeen (17) single desktop unit chargers are also requested. Lastly, standard warranties and shipping should be included in the bids.
