This�Targeted Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) is amended to update the Virtual Industry Day and response date as follows:� Virtual Industry Day � Thursday August�13th, 2020 from 12:30 PM- 2:30 PM � ���White Paper Submissions Due: On or before�9/7/2020 � ���Review Period: 10/7/2020 � ���White Paper Decisions Released to Vendors & Requests for Vendor Pitches Released: 10/19/2020 This publication constitutes a Targeted Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.102(d)(2) and 35.016. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Innovation Task Force (ITF) is interested in receiving concept papers and proposals to improve its understanding of existing market capabilities and identify vendors capable of enhancing the transportation security system in accordance with the attached details of the announcement. The objective is to obtain potential solutions to a number of problem areas associated with aviation security. These areas include: 1. Self Distance Screening 2. System Integration�for Dynamic Screening 3. Vendor-Identified Problem 4. Staff Screening Please join ITF on Thursday, August 6th from 12:30PM - 2:30PM, Eastern Standard Time for a Virtual�Industry Day via YouTube Live Stream. The event will include an overview of ITF and current initiatives, a discussion of the requirements for ITF's Innovative Demonstrations for Enterprise Advancement (IDEA) Targeted Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), and an opportunity to understand which solutions and innovations are most impactful in the field.� A formal Request for Proposals (RFP), other solicitation, or additional information regarding this announcement will not be issued. Readers should note that this is an announcement to declare TSA's broad role in competitive funding of meritorious research across a spectrum of science and engineering disciplines. The TSA will not issue paper copies of this announcement. TSA reserves the right to fund all, some or none of the proposals received in response to this BAA, a factor of which will depend upon availability of funds. TSA provides no funding for direct reimbursement of proposal development costs. Technical and cost proposals (or any other material) submitted in response to this BAA will not be returned. It is the policy of TSA to treat all proposals as sensitive competitive information and to disclose their contents for the purposes of evaluation. �
