Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, McNary Powerhouse has a requirement for the purchase of SEL protective relays, revenue meters, auxiliary & automation controllers, computer and network equipment for the protection, control & annunciation systems upgrades. The SEL (P&C) equipment will be used for upgrading main unit generator and GSU transformer protection and control systems at McNary Powerhouse. The SEL equipment will replace the existing SEL equipment and be installed into new S-boards under a separate construction contract. The S-boards are being replaced, so new protective relaying equipment is required. The SEL real time automation controller (RTAC) and SEL Axion (auxiliary controller) will be used for collecting alarms for the new annunciation/SER system and are compatible with new human machine interfaces (HMI) and networking equipment for the Generic Data Acquisition System (GDACS). A separate annunciation panel is needed in the control room to provide hardwired door security switches to the control room for S-boards and related equipment.
