(iii)�� �The solicitation document, the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-07 effective 2 JULY 2020. (iv)�� �The associated NAICS code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, and the small business size standard is 1,000. �The acquisition is being conducted in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.� (v)�� �The Contractor Requirements are listed below: 1.0�� �PURCHASE ORDER TITLE Procurement of a Double Incubation Shaker with Refrigeration �� ��� � 2.0�� �BACKGROUND The NIDDK LBC laboratories have recruited a new Principle Investigator; as a start-up investigator they are in need of their own equipment for their independent research. This request is for a Double Incubation Shaker with Refrigeration for use in developing Nanobodies for therapeutic and research purposes and recombinant protein expression under micro and scale-up conditions. 3.0�� �OBJECTIVE This purchase will allow the NIDDK PI to conduct their own dedicated incubator shaker where they have full control of the environmental conditions needed for their independent research. The unit requested will be a high capacity double stack unit that can be expanded later to a triple stack as scale-up is needed.� 4.0 �� �SALIENT / REQUIRED FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS The required shaker must have independent temperature control for each stack. The unit must have a very large flask capacity to allow for the testing of clone growth under the exact same growth conditions. We require the capacity of up to 45 250 ml flasks. In addition, for scale-up we need have a weight load capacity of at least 50 kg per unit. There is also another growth requirement that along with the rotation speed the rotation distance (throw) needs to be adjustable as well. This allows for gentler or more robust conditions needed for the diverse microorganisms used in this field. The ability to add an additional unit without additional floor space is required. 5.0 �� �TASKS AREAS Independently, and not as an agent of the Government, the contractor shall perform all of the detailed Task Areas listed below: 5.1�� �Task Area 1 � Delivery � Contractor shall inside deliver all new equipment and install in the LBC Laboratory area. Task Area 2 � Installation � The lab will contact the vendor to schedule installation upon receipt. Task Area 3 � Inspection & Acceptance Criteria � The Project Officer or the Project Officer Supervisor will perform inspection and acceptance of materials and services to be provided. Inspection and acceptance will be done AFTER all materials are unpacked, installed, and test run for operation.� Inspection and acceptance will be performed at the place of installation �� National Institutes of Health, NIDDK, 9000 Rockville Pike, Maryland 20892. 6.0�� �PURCHASE ORDER TYPE This Purchase Order is to be a firm fixed price.� 7.0�� �INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE Inspection and acceptance will be performed at the place of installation - National Institutes of Health, NIDDK, 9000 Rockville Pike, Maryland 20892. (vi)�� �This requirement is being pursued through the authority granted in FAR 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal. This is a requirement for aN INFORS USA, INC. Double Multitron Incubation Shaker with Refrigeration, Universal Trays, and 18"" Storage Base. � (vii)�� �Period of Performance: �Delivery Within 12 months ARO (viii)�� �The provision at FAR clause 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors � Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
