Description
Statement of Work For Installation of CAT 6 Cables to Support AAR Cameras Upgrade at Buildings 17, 35, 36 and 38 at Artesia, GA Background This Statement of Work (SOW) establishes and defines the requirements for the engineering, furnishing, installation, testing and documentation of inside plant copper cabling at Artesia, NM.� Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and all other components necessary to install, test and document inside plant copper cabling at Artesia, NM. All work performed in the design and installation shall conform to BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) specifications to ensure consistency with current codes, standards, and regulations.� The following BICSI publications apply:� Outside Plant Design Reference Manual, 4th Edition and Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual, 12th edition. General. Cable Testing.� All copper cables shall be tested in accordance with BICSI specifications to insure no damage has occurred to the cable during installation.� All copper cables shall be tested for cable faults prior to and after installation has been completed.� If the cable is damaged during installation, the contractor shall replace the cable with one that is undamaged.� All cable terminals and information boxes interface units shall be labeled with machine-generated labels.� All cables shall be labeled at all termination points, building entrance terminals, patch panels, man holes, hand holes, and at all splice entrance/exit points.� Task 1:� Install one CAT 6 Cable Drop to Support AAR Camera Upgrade at Building 17 at Artesia, NM. List of materials to be provided by the contractor CAT 6 Cable CAT 6 Cable terminations Hardware to install the camera mount on the building. Cable tags Other supplies as needed such as cable ties, j-hooks Velcro etc. ���������� �4.2. Contractor shall install one government provided camera mount and camera on the northeast corner of building 17. ���������� 4.2.1 Contractor shall provide and install one CAT 6 network drop from the camera location to the communications room 116.�� ������������ ���������� �4.2.2 Contractor shall terminate the field end of the Cat 6 cable onto the patch panel in Room 116 and the customer end with a RJ-45 connector at the camera.�� ����������� � ����������4.2.3�� Contractor shall test all data drops for cable faults and errors. � Task 2:� Install one CAT 6 Cable Drop to Support AAR Camera Upgrade at Building 35 at Artesia, NM. List of materials to be provided by the contractor CAT 6 Cable CAT 6 Cable terminations Hardware to install the camera mount on the building. Steel conduit and hardware to attach steel conduit to the building Cable tags Other supplies as needed such as cable ties, j-hooks Velcro etc. ����������� 5.2. Contractor shall install one government provided camera mount and camera on the stairwell column at the south end of the north/south wing of building 35. ���������� 5.2.1 Contractor shall provide and install one CAT 6 network drop from the camera location to the fourth floor communications room. �� �� �����5.2.2 Contractor shall provide and install steel conduit under the eaves from the camera location to the building penetration point at the south end of the chase in the north/south wing of Bldg 35 to provide a covered pathway for the cabling outside the building. ������������ ����������� 5.2.3 Contractor shall terminate the field end of the Cat 6 cable onto the patch panel in the fourth floor communications room and the customer end with a RJ-45 connector at the camera.�� ����� ����� 5.2.4�� Contractor shall test all data drops for cable faults and errors.� Task 3:� Install one CAT 6 Cable Drop to Support AAR Camera Upgrade at Building 36 at Artesia, NM. List of materials to be provided by the contractor CAT 6 Cable CAT 6 Cable terminations Hardware to install the camera mount on the building. Cable tags Other supplies as needed such as cable ties, j-hooks Velcro etc. ����������� 6.2. Contractor shall install one government provided camera mount and camera on the southwest of building 36. ���������� 6.2.1 Contractor shall provide and install one CAT 6 network drop from the camera location to the south communications room 132. ������������ ���������� �6.2.2 Contractor shall terminate the field end of the Cat 6 cable onto the patch panel the south communications room 132 and the customer end with a RJ-45 connector at the camera. ����� ����� 6.2.3�� Contractor shall test all data drops for cable faults and errors.� �� Task 4:� Install one CAT 6 Cable Drop to Support AAR Camera Upgrade at Building 38 at Artesia, NM. List of materials to be provided by the contractor CAT 6 Cable CAT 6 Cable terminations Hardware to install the camera mount on the building. Cable tags Other supplies as needed such as cable ties, j-hooks Velcro etc. ����������� 7.2. Contractor shall install one government provided camera mount and camera on the northeast corner of building 38. ���������� 7.2.1 Contractor shall provide and install one CAT 6 network drop from the camera location to the mechanical room. ����������� 7.2.3 Contractor shall terminate the field end of the Cat 6 cable with a RJ-45 in the mechanical room and the customer end with a RJ-45 connector at the camera.�� . � � �� Deliverables 8. �Equipment ���������� 8.1������ All equipment identified in 4.1 9.� Documents ����������� 9.1 Copper and Fiber Optic Cable Testing Results from task 3 ����������� 10. Period of Performance. 10.1 Period of performance for this contract is not to exceed 30 days from contract award date. 11.� Contract Type 11.1 This contract shall be a firm fixed price contract. 12.� Place of Performance 10.1 All Tasks work shall be performed at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers; US Department ��of Homeland Security; 1300 W.
