Description
NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) plans to issue a Draft RFP for the Specialized Engineering, Aeronautics, and Manufacturing (SEAM II) Procurement. The anticipated release date of the Draft RFP is on or about Wednesday, July 29 with questions and answer due on or about Wednesday, August 12. SEAM II will provide a streamlined ordering process for a wide range of engineering services and solutions to design, develop, test, and evaluate new hardware, address system and component obsolescence and support the sustainment, alteration, and improvement of the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL), Space Vehicle Mockup Facility (SVMF), Mission Control Center (MCC), Space Station Training Facility (SSTF), aircraft, aircraft programs, projects, activities, and other NASA and JSC projects. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This acquisition is a partial small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541715, Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology), and 1000 employees respectively. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html If a solicitation is released, then it and any additional documents will be available on www.beta.sam.gov. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).� Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).� All contractual and technical questions must be submitted electronically via email to Roger M. Roberts @ roger.m.roberts@nasa.gov and Darrell R. Compton @ darrell.r.compton@nasa.gov no later than 4PM Central on Wednesday, August 12.� Telephone questions will not be accepted.
