Description
SYNOPSIS This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Quote (RFQ). This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. This is strictly a synopsis to inform industry about an upcoming requirement. The Government will not accept any quotes or proposals based on this notice. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to issue an RFQ on or about July 27, 2020 for vendor-hosted grades 3-5 single subject standalone databases with the following characteristics: 1)� Commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS), digital library content/database supporting our grade 3-5 curricula, that is, addresses the essential information, literacy, and library research needs of our students. 2) Accessibility of all online electronic resources throughout the school building and from remote locations.� Note:� DoDEA will provide IP (Internet Protocol) ranges for automatic authentication and a password structure for remote user access. 3)� Product licensing based on a per student/staff model.� Products shall be licensed for all students/staff.� Note:� DoDEA will not accept a site-based or per-building licensing model. 4)� Databases will consist of STEM, Social Studies, and Geography subject matter to include Virtual professional learning, and technical support and maintenance. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, technical support and maintenance, materials, supervision, training and other items and services necessary to address the Government�s requirements for the Grades 3-5 specialty databases. This Government anticipates executing multiple awards from the Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Contract Line Items (CLINs), solicitation. This acquisition will be solicited as a 100% small business set-aside using the procedures set forth in FAR Part 12, Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition. �All terms, conditions, evaluation procedures, and instructions to Vendors will be specified in the RFQ.
