Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR 3D PRINTER UPGRADE AND SERVICE CONTRACT The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to issue a sole source brand name only contract under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1) � Soliciting from a single source. For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold and Only one source reasonably available, on or about 24 August 2020 to Stratasys, Incorporated, 7665 Commerce Way, Eden Prairie, MN, 55344-2020 on behalf of the United States Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333249 and the size standard is 500 employees The key objective of this effort is to provide 3D printer service for the Medical Prototype Development Laboratory (MPDL), Warfighter Health, Performance and Evacuation Project Management Office (WHPE-PMO) at the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development's (USAMMDA).� 3D printer service includes an upgrade; preventive maintenance; support; and consumables for an existing Stratasys Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 450mc 3D printer.� Interested contractors may identify their interest and bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. �This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. �Interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement shall submit information about their capabilities no later than 04:00 am EST, 07 August 2020. �All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. �No solicitation will be made available. �Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. �A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed solicitation based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. �Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
