- Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2 is conducting a market survey for vendors capable of providing FIRE ALARM MAINTINANCE, INSPECTION, TESTING AND REPAIR at the New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn VA, St. Albans Community Living Center ( SA CLC ), and Manhattan VA. The Contractor shall provide management, supervision, labor, parts, material, tools, incidental engineering services, and transportation necessary to perform maintenance, repair, inspection, programming updates, testing, component replacement and certification of the complete fire alarm system within the building and up to and including the point where the signal leaves the building from the ERS box, and emergency services notification transmitter equipment and to keep the Fire Protection System s equipment operating as originally specified by the equipment manufacturer. The contractor shall provide callback response and emergency service and least one of the emergency telephone numbers with alternate telephone number, shall be manned twenty-four (24) hours per day, 365 days per year. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable Federal Codes and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) standards and directives. Codes to include but not limited to: National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 72 and 90 and International Building Code (IBC). The Contractor shall provide complete maintenance service, safety inspections, and tests on fire alarm system for the period required under the contract. Work shall be performed by only trained, and certified technicians on facility s fire alarm specific systems, such as: Notifier Fire Alarm System at Brooklyn and New York VA Medical Centers and Edwards Fire Alarm System at St. Albans CLC. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 561621 (Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths)) and the standard size is $22 million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is J012 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Fire Control Equipment). All responses to this notice MUST be submitting in writing and emailed to charnell.cunningham@va.gov and must be received not later than July 29, 2020 at 10:00AM EST. Interested parties shall provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities (resumes), DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time may not be considered for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 561621 Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced separately, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
