Description

The Government intends to solicit offers for the purchase of herbicides for Woodruff/Lake Seminole. This requirement includes the sole-source procurement of the following brand name herbicides: ProcellaCOR containing the active ingredient Florpyrauxifen-benzyl and Methylated Seed Oil (MSO), under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).� There are only 15 aquatic herbicide compounds which have undergone the lengthy and expensive testing requirements needed for approval and registration by the EPA for use on submerged plants.� While some of these compounds are available in generic forms, Florpyrauxifen-benzyl is only available in brand-name products developed and marketed by single manufacturers.� It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded. �The NAICS code is 325320 and size standard is 1,000 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement; however, this notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. �All capability statements received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this notice will be reviewed by the Government and considered.� The notice publication date is 22 July 2020 and the deadline date is 6 August 2020. �However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
