- Description
- 1. THE SUBJECT REQUIREMENT IS BEING SYNOPSIZED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR 5.204. THIS IS A SYNOPSIS ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. 2. Naval Facilities Engineering Command Far East Core Execution Team Yokosuka has an upcoming single award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type performance-based service contract comprised of Non-Recurring work items. 3. The scope of work includes Oil and Hazardous Substance Spill Response Services at various U.S. Military/U.S. Government facilities in Japan, including but not limited to, U.S. Naval Station Yokosuka and Sasebo, Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi, Yokota Air Force Base, Misawa Air Base, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni, Camp Fuji, Marine Corps Base (MCB) Butler, Okinawa and Commander Fleet Activities Okinawa. This contract will provide for Environmental Services including (1) Oil and Hazardous Substance Spill Response and Cleanup Services (2) Sampling and Laboratory Services (3) Training Exercises. The contract term will be a base period of one year, with seven (7) one-year option periods. 4. CONTRACTOR LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: Any contract resulting from this solicitation will be awarded and performed in its entirety in the country of Japan. Contractors must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance of the contract. STATUS OF FORCES AGREEMENT: The U.S. Government will not offer ""United States Official Contractor"" status under Article XIV of the U.S.-Japan Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) to any offeror awarded a contract under this solicitation; nor will the U.S. Government certify any employees of a contractor as ""Members of the Civilian Component"" under Article I(b) of the SOFA. 5. Hard copies will not be provided. It is the offerors responsibility to check the websites daily for any amendments to this solicitation. Offerors must have an active registration in SAM and must have active Representations and Certifications in SAM. Interested offerors are encouraged to register as soon as possible. 6.
