Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and 41 USC 253 (c)(1) set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The 316th Contracting Squadron�(316 CONS) intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to Fluke Biomedical (a brand of Fluke Electronics Corporation) for maintenance and repair of the IDA model Infusion Pump Analyzers,�QA-ESII�model electrosurgical Analyzers,�X2 model Base Unit and Sensors, patient simulators, and other analyzer models�which�include defribrillator, gas flow, incubator, electrosurgical�and safety.�� The proposed contract action is for supplies and/or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.�The resultant action�will result in a firm fixed price contract for this requirement.� The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of responses to this notice.� A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.�The anticipated period of performance for the maintenance and repair of the medical equipment�will be for 60�months, including four�(4)�option periods. �Market research was performed and shown to support the sole source determination. See the attached Justification and Approval for Sole Source for additional information regarding the sole source determination.��
