- This is a notice of contract action (NOCA). This is not a solicitation for quotes. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this NOCA or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this NOCA is to notify industry of the VA s intent of contract action and possibly gain knowledge of other potentially-qualified sources and their size classifications. Notice of contract action: Miami VA Contracting intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price contract under FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Siemens Industry for retrofitting of six existing M2k automatic transfer switches with RPTCS controls at the Miami VA Medical Center. The estimated value of the acquisition is $100k. Vendors who believe they can meet the requirements should submit a capability statement, providing clear and convincing evidence supporting the assertion, and be appropriately licensed/certified. Siemens asserts that they are the only authorized organization for engineering and manufacturing of modifications to existing equipment. In addition, the only authorized organization for service, maintenance, and warranty service. All information shall be in writing, sent via email, and must contain sufficient detail to allow the government representative to evaluate and determine if it can meet the requirement. Responses must be received no later than 11:59 EST, July 27, 2020.
