Description
Background During the early stages of the pandemic it was identified that a risk to health and safety was at stake by allowing people to enter the building to utilize the restroom facilities.� Portable toilets were identified as a solution to the risk factor and it was determined by the Hospital Incident Command to acquire 5 units on an emergency basis. Objective To insure the safety, health, and wellbeing of all patients, visitors, and staff of PIMC, the portable toilets are provided outside the main facility to avoid unnecessary exposure to COVID-19 within the building. System Requirements The contractor shall provide Rental of Portable Toilets and Septic System Waste Removal Services twice per week and replenishment of necessary supplies therein such as toilet paper, and other relevant supplies reasonably stocked. Contract Awardee Responsibilities & Tasks Provide portable toilets and septic system waste removal services on the campus of PIMC which shall include 1 handicap unit and 4 regular units.� Cleaning and resupply of toiletries shall be provided twice per week on Monday and Thursday. Evaluation shall be performed by submission of manifests on a timely manner and daily inspections of the units by the COR or representative, and public complaints. Support and Maintenance Services Contractor shall perform services without disruption.� If a delay is foreseen, the contractor must call 602.581.6059, David Scott, and leave a detailed message if no answer is received.� Contractor shall also be available to maintain units for any unforeseen circumstances or acts of God within a reasonable amount of time according to the environmental consideration of waste within the units. Period of Performance (POP) Performance of the contract shall be from August 1, 2020 through February 28, 2021 with an option to renew for 6 months thereafter. Minimum Qualifications Contractor shall have been in business for at least 2 years of providing public portable toilet rental services including removal of septic systems waste and proper disposal. Manifests are required to be submitted to the agency. Preferred Evaluation Method Evaluation method will be Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable. Delivery Delivery of units shall be provided by opening of business on August 1, 2020 and cleaning routine performed the following Mondays and Thursdays thereafter. Contracting Officer Authority Authority to negotiate changes in the terms, conditions, or amounts cited in this contract is reserved for the Contracting Officer.
