Description
This is not a solicitation announcement.��This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified small business sources and their size classifications (i.e., HUBZone 8(a), 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-owned, Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned, and Small Disadvantaged Business) relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 611430, �Professional and Management Development Training� ($12.0 million size standard). Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate determinations about potential sources. Only small business sources should respond to this sources sought synopsis. The primary objective is to provide training for mental health first aid. The training must be offered as two separate four-hour on-site, instructor-led sessions; one session shall be for employees in supervisory roles, while the other serves non-managerial staff. The Contractor shall provide training that would offer an introduction to Mental Health First Aid. This training must summarize potential situations of mental distress, address how to identify signs of stress, and propose methods to handle situations that could represent potential mental health crises. While�these presentations may include statistics and definitions, the majority of the course must focus on actionable items and response plans for attendees. The Contractor shall provide a four- hour training event on mental health issues. This training must inform those taking the course about certain mental health disorders and provide instruction on how both managers and non-managers can provide an adequate �first aid� response in interactions with coworkers. Within this training, the Contractor shall: � Provide information and statistics regarding mental health disorders from most common to rare; � Provide brief exercises, roleplay scenarios, case studies, and/or videos to aid class discussions; � Provide specific examples that relate to the training with actual events that have happened at FDA; � Provide instruction on identifying potential mental health issues in the workplace; and � Provide instruction on appropriately reacting and responding to crisis so attendees are prepared with actionable plans for the future.
